Larry Banks, NHA

Larry Banks, NHA

Administrator

As a seasoned leader in healthcare, Larry has enjoyed working for organizations where his operational expertise and knowledge of systems and compliance is utilized. He prides himself on being extremely familiar with the current regulatory and financial environments. His expertise includes strong financial management as well as team development and leadership. As a strategic planner, he has a strong working knowledge of how to develop, market and operate high acuity patient care units while also caring deeply for long term patients and their loved ones.

Most recently, he has been working for a physician provider organization as the Director of Business Development and Growth. This experience expanded his understanding of the physician side of the industry and broadened his understanding of the changing environment of reimbursement across the spectrum.

Avery Villines

Avery Villines

Community Life Services Director

Avery has worked with seniors for over 25 years, including the last 13 years as the community life services director. From events, concerts, art and volunteerism to weekly transportation and salon, spa and massage, she and her team enjoy keeping residents fully engaged in all aspects of community life.

Avery has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre from Valdosta State University. She also has an extensive physical fitness background that includes personal training, water fitness and Masters Swimming coaching.

Sandy Shirk

Sandy Shirk

Director of Marketing and Sales

Sandy Shirk is director of sales & marketing at Brandon Wilde and a resident of Evans, Columbia County. Sandy is responsible for the community’s overall marketing and communications efforts, and for sales and marketing of the community’s independent living accommodations. She also assists the administrator of Brandon Wilde’s personal care, memory care and skilled nursing neighborhoods with marketing strategies.

Sandy comes to us with many years of experience in the senior living industry. Previously, she held various positions at The Heritage of Green Hills in Reading, PA, where she served as director of sales & marketing, as marketing and admissions liaison at Green Hills Manor at The Heritage, and as residency counselor for independent living. Prior to that, Sandy held sales and marketing positions within the graphic arts industry for more than 30 years, where she helped execute marketing campaigns for several senior living communities.

Chris Pierson

Chris Pierson

Senior Director of Plant Operations

Chris oversees all aspects of Brandon Wilde’s operation including interior and exterior maintenance. He focuses on providing excellent hospitality and service to Brandon Wilde’s residents, families, staff and vendors. After working at Brandon Wilde for over 22 years, Chris considers everyone at the community to be a part of his family.

Todd Greimel

Todd Greimel

Director of Dining Services

Todd is a graduate of First Coast Technical College in St. Augustine, Florida, and has been to many continuing education courses at The Culinary Institute of America in California. He is also a certified teacher and proctor in the ServSafe program. Before joining Brandon Wilde, Todd worked in many different roles for Compass Group, including director of dining services, executive chef, regional trainer of hospitality, and service manager. Prior to joining Compass Group, he worked for Westin and Sheraton hotels as a regional traveling chef and executive chef. His other work experience includes private clubs and independent restaurants.

Cheryl Taylor

Cheryl Taylor

Director of Accounting

Cheryl graduated from Augusta College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting. While still in college, Cheryl began working for Georgia Railroad Bank and Trust Company. After this company merged with First Union, Cheryl worked in their Atlanta and Charlotte offices, eventually becoming head of accounts payable. In 1992, she left First Union to become the assistant director of accounting at Brandon Wilde and was named director of accounting in 1994.

Jen Boyett

Jen Boyett

Director of Human Resources

Jen has been part of the Brandon Wilde family since 2019. She has a unique combination of both health care and hospitality human resources experience. Her main focus is doing all she can to better our team member experience, which will help Brandon Wilde continue to provide the highest level of service and hospitality to our residents.

Jen has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in psychology and managerial sciences from Georgia State University. Jen is also an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management and WorldatWork.

Susan McWhorter

Susan McWhorter

Director of Personal Care

Susan graduated from Ogeechee Technical College in 1999 and worked in several different areas of the medical field before starting at Brandon Wilde in 2012. Today Susan works as a nurse navigator with the residents in independent living, where she follows up with all health center discharges to ensure they have a smooth transition back home.
