Brandon Wilde Mardi Gras 2026

The good times rolled at Brandon Wilde this Fat Tuesday as residents brought the spirit of Mardi Gras to campus with a joyful, music-filled parade worthy of the French Quarter.

On February 17, the senior living community came alive with color, laughter, and the unmistakable sounds of New Orleans. Residents donned festive beads and masks, dancing their way through campus in a spirited procession led by one of their very own—a talented resident trumpeter who set the tone with lively, jazzy tunes.

With smiles as bright as the decorations, participants paraded through the community, spreading carnival cheer to friends and neighbors in the assisted living neighborhood. The celebration wasn’t just a spectacle—it was a heartfelt moment of connection, creativity, and shared joy across generations of residents.

And of course, no Mardi Gras celebration would be complete without festive fare. Following the parade, residents gathered to indulge in king cake, jambalaya, classic Cajun dishes, and even hurricanes to toast the occasion.

Brandon Wilde’s Mardi Gras festivities were a vibrant reminder that community life is about more than just events—it’s about creating meaningful moments, embracing fun at every age, and celebrating traditions together. Laissez les bons temps rouler! Watch the full event here:
