Brandon Wilde Community Marks “The Longest Day” with Sunrise-to-Sunset Activities
On June 20, the summer solstice and the longest day of the year, the entire Brandon Wilde community in Evans, GA, came together in a powerful show of support for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Joining the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual “The Longest Day” fundraiser, residents and team members stayed active from sunrise to sunset, demonstrating their commitment to fighting the darkness of Alzheimer’s.
Throughout the day, participants kept the community in motion by running, biking, swimming, and engaging in a variety of other activities. Residents and staff signed up for 30-minute time slots, choosing how they wanted to stay active and contribute to the cause.
