Unity: Connecting through Creativity, an online art exhibition – 3/30-4/30

Featuring works of art from local Augusta area seniors.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, residents in senior living communities have been isolated from the local community and have not been able to share their creativity with others. This online art exhibition will showcase the artistic abilities of residents from Brandon Wilde- Augusta’s Only Life Plan Community and The Claiborne at Westlake. The online art show will feature a total of 74 works including mediums such as paintings, sculptures, embroidery, mixed media and jewelry.

Milan Roland and Quinn Yates, students in the International Baccalaureate Program of the Academy of Richmond County, developed this community project out of their love of art to celebrate the creativity of the residents in senior communities in the Augusta area. Roland and Yates coordinated with Life Enrichment Director, Kelly Hilley from The Claiborne at West Lake, and Wellness Coordinator Rachel Lowery, from Brandon Wilde-Augusta’s Only Life Plan Community.
