Martin Luther King Day of Service at Brandon Wilde

More than 30 residents gathered for this year’s Martin Luther King Day of Service event. We filled more than 200 bags with items essential to health and dignity, including soap, toothpaste, and toothbrushes for the Salvation Army’s Downtown Shelter. The event was featured on the CBS, NBC, and ABC news!

Though this week’s work was in honor of Dr. King’s legacy, Brandon Wilde offers residents ample opportunity to volunteer and help out local groups throughout the year as part of the Vocational Wellness aspect of the community’s 8 Dimensions of Wellness program.

Actively helping others is a powerful way to boost your own mood and stay connected with the world — all while improving the greater community.
